Côte embodies a mindful approach to travel and movement in the world, manifested through endeavours that celebrate our ties to land, people, community, and culture.

We craft hospitality initiatives with mindfulness at their core, respecting the intricate harmony of natural systems. This ethos is central to the hospitality sector, underscoring the importance of recognising and fostering the unique experiences individuals may encounter in the world.

Through many years of experience as both hoteliers and travellers, we have witnessed firsthand the divide between hotels and the communities within which they operate. Motivated by our experiences and a genuine desire to understand the places we inhabit, we started to engage in earnest dialogues about the struggles local communities face as a result of increased tourism. By making a concerted effort to fully grasp the depth of these nuanced challenges, we embrace native cultures, people, and places, helping business owners and local communities to exist harmoniously as sustainable global citizens.

Recognising the privilege inherent in our ability to move freely and operate as part of the hospitality business, we are determined to foster meaningful conversations about the impact of tourism on communities and the environment. We hope to inspire fellow hospitality professionals to also engage in these essential conversations and invest in their communities, leveraging our collective power for positive change and addressing the often overlooked consequences of tourism on local cultures and livelihoods.

We are dedicated to restoring the fundamental connections vital for collective health by emphasising interconnectedness, enduring relationships, and understanding our roles within the broader global ecosystem.
